The Task Force on Integrated Assessment Modelling of the UNECE Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution held the 51st session online from the 6th to the 8th of April 2022. At most 100 experts participated simultaneously. The Task Force on Techno-economic Issues works to update and assess information on emission abatement technologies for the reduction of air pollutants (SO2, NOx, VOCs, dust (including coarse PM (PM10), fine PM (PM2.5) and black carbon), heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and their costs.

Our Techne Consulting partner director presented  the regional air quality plan of Campania Region in Italy. One important focus of the plan was on wood combustion issues (mainly PM and POPs) where changes of the citizen’s behavior is a crucial element. The Task Force finalized in the past a Code of good practice for wood-burning and small combustion installations that can be a useful guide to actions of our living labs acting on air pollution.
