EU Green Week is the key event to discuss and implement the European environmental policy to attract and involve decision makers, stakeholders, environmentalists and other interested people. This year the focus of the week was the European Green Deal.

The I-CHANGE Project did not miss this call and organized an event for enhancing their implementation, creating a community of involved stakeholders and citizens.
On May 31, CIMA Research Foundation organized the event “Participatory process in the adaptation and mitigation to climate change”, in collaboration with the Municipality of Genoa, ARPAL and the Liguria Region, at the Civic Museum of Natural History of the city.

During the event, the activities of the Genoa Living Lab and the main stakeholders, who have already been involved in the citizen science activities, were presented. Institutions such as the Liguria Region, ARPAL, the Civil Protection Department have shared their policies on how to tackle climate change and what are the mandatory actions that can be implemented to reach the majority of citizens.

ERG has shared its experience on how to change the core business towards green choices and the prospect of the next years to become a zero emission company.

Stakeholders of the local area, such as schools, Marinas, outdoor associations and maritime consortia, already active in the activities of the project, shared the importance of involving citizens and various operators in awareness-raising activities towards climate change topic.

Everything is therefore ready for the stakeholders to participate in the Genoa Living Lab and assume that role of bearers of a change in behavior, thus becoming a driving force for the dissemination of good practices.
