The I-CHANGE team at Tel Aviv University (TAU) has developed a comprehensive course on Opportunistic Integrated Sensing and Communication (OISAC) for Weather Monitoring led by Jonatan Ostrometzky. Accepted by the IEEE Signal Processing Society Resource Center, this 9-unit course provides students with a guided introduction to this field of research.

OISAC leverages wireless communication networks as tools for environmental monitoring, focusing on weather sensing. The course covers topics such as the physical properties of opportunistic sensors, rain estimation using commercial microwave links, and potential applications in detecting other environmental phenomena. Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience with algorithms and real-world datasets for OISAC-based weather monitoring.
