On Thursday 8th June, Prof. dr. Muhammad Adnan, Hasselt University, presented I-CHANGE during the webinar “Empowering and skilling citizens to become drivers towards a climate neutral and sustainable Europe through citizen science” at the EU GreenWeek.

The EU Green Deal Projects Support Office organized a partner event in the form of a webinar as a part of EU GreenWeek. The event showcased 7 innovative citizen science projects that are accelerating transition to a just, sustainable and climate-neutral Europe by 2050: AURORAI-CHANGESOCIO-BEECOMPAIRECF4CLIMGreenSCENT and PSLifestyleOur partner Hasselt University was invited to present I-CHANGE to showcase the progress made in relation to citizen science activities and engagements in the past 18 months by 8 different living labs established in I-CHANGE.

The event was well received within the community, and over 100 participants joined the webinar session, which generated a lot of interesting discussion to combat climate change through innovative citizen science approach. Panelists shared their experiences, challenges and successful stories in engaging citizens and how it has led to environment-friendly behaviors.
